Is there a parking lot in the shop??
Would have been nice if it was OPEN! The hours online said 5:30PM so my sister and I got there at 4:50PM, knowing that they often will not seat customers if too close to closing time. We walked about an extra 10 mins to get here. We get there and the waitress says they are closed. I was shocked. I tried asking / explaining that I thought they closed at 5:30, I tried showing her on Google but she did not understand and she just kept pointing to a "closed" sign. Looked great, but I was disappointed with my experience. Please update your online hours!
MoreIt’s a little tired. When the body is cool,...Come to the mouth sweet and hot soup, instantly warm the whole bodyThe soup head that is not greasy, the soft face, enjoy the beautiful scenery~~~
MoreWhen I was thinking that I wanted to eat udon, I saw this restaurant and ate.You can eat udon at an affordable price that you can't imagine it's near Kiyomizu-dera Temple with its red lanterns. (About 700 yen)I want to try Yudofu too, but I'm fullThe clerk also has a nice smile and I want to come again! It was a good shop that I can think of.
MoreMonday of March I used it for a break after visiting Kiyomizu Temple ✨While the snow was flickering, you had tofu and lukewarmI got the ponzu vinegar taste just right 🎵The tofu made with lukewarm soup is so delicious and delicious 🐴 ❗ It was a treat ✨
MoreUdon noodles are very flexible!
There are not many menus to choose from. But customers are full of restaurants throughout the ramen, delicious, soft, soup, sweet, good Can eat without cooking
MoreBy chance after lunch, I had eaten soba and hot water tofu because there was a vacant space on the other side of the main building near the temple like this (the roof had a wind that made it blow through). Well, it's just like the atmosphere near the waterfall. The current May was a good season.
MoreNoodles with soba, umu noodles, and hot beerIf you're tired of coming up and looking around, be sure to stop by.Not bad.
MoreSoba noodles are sold in summer and udon noodles in winter. The menu is simple and delicious.
MoreIt is the first teahouse after going down the slope from the main hall. There is a waterfall on the side and there is a taste. It was the first week of October, but it was a great place to eat cold, cold, hot heaven, matcha zenza, and zaru soba. I'm lucky if I can sit
MoreSuper chill place inside kiyumizu. Very reasonable prices and a good place for a break from walking
MoreIt is a shop where you can feel free to take a break. The menu includes udon, soba, sweets and tea.If you come up from the bottom of this end, first take a break at this shop.
MoreThe taste is ordinary, but after visiting the Kiyomizu-dera Temple and taking a break, it is not bad.
MoreSoba noodles and soup tofu taste ordinary, but tired with the scenery and snoring, take a break to eat something, it feels good
MoreIt was a holiday~ But in the show window, "Hatena's bowl" and the signature of Master Katsura Yonedan are available! At the Otowa waterfall tea shop, the master of the big shop drinks tea while seeing through the bowl and looking at the bottom. Actually, I am Chakin, the owner of the tea utensil shop in Kyoto. He twists his neck all the time and leaves the store leaving a word "Hatena?" After seeing it, the oil-seller and the owner of the store settled down with him, and after that, he expected the bowl to be worthwhile and brought it to Chakinkin's store. Mr. Chakin says, “This tea bowl is cracked, and tea is leaking without touching the glaze,” he said by twisting his neck. The man is disappointed, but Kanhaku saw the bowl and sang, so I wrote the box in the handwriting of the time...
MoreNice dishes
We had a delicious shaved ice! And, the best location that does not taste the other! Here it is recommended!
MoreUdon restaurant in Kiyomizu TempleThere are udon noodles, soba noodles, and boiled tofu. Not bad
MoreThe udon is too soft, taste average... A good resting place
Originally saw a more comprehensive menu on the internet but when I was there there is only one noodle option. Food is simple. Like the outdoor seating ambience though it was a crowded Sunday noon. A good stop for the tired and thirsty.
MoreThere is a considerable level of catering as an attraction. The scenery is also very beautiful, it is a good place to take pictures and rest.
MoreThe tsukimi soba noodles were really good and you get to sit outside near the greenery. Great pictures can be taken. I suggest sitting outside to enjoy the traditional seating. Loved it!
MoreI like Zenzai and I got it here. However, the clerk told me to pay first, so I paid. However, only one of the three is coming and the customer who came later has ordered the goods properly. When I called the store clerk and told me that I hadn't come yet, the taste was not good.I thought it would be disappointing if we walked a little more than this one.
MoreSimple hot tofu. It is best to eat while watching the scenery under the stage of Shimizu ✨
MoreGreen tea jelly dessert is a must try!
The tofu is quite decent, something different for a change.
there was no food just drink
It may be too hungry, but it is not bad, but it does not feel super good.
Nice soba and tofu. Small place with interesting setup. Right next to the crowded waterfall
MoreThis tea house is perfect. I will try to define in a nutshell: It is a small place on the mountain, the "output" of Kiyomizu. You end up ahead before you leave. There, teas are served, and sweets. All freshly made. The experience was amazing, looked like the pot of gold at end of rainbow, because it's all so warm and delicious.
Moredelicious Tofu
A shop just under the Otowa Falls. It is a shop with cold shaving ice in the summer and yuzu curved with the best feeling in the winter.Udon and soba are also delicious! The lady of the shop / sister gentle with the kind people who care about various things. The age is exchange or pre-payment for goods!
MoreIt was really delicious!
Very nice place and food! I had a great lunch and the dessert was amazing!
Summer walk at Kiyomizu TempleBest time to come here for a bowl of Uji gold!I usually do n’t like iceI can accept the frustration here ~
MoreVery rich, after a walk it is a good rest with you and Udon;)
The atmosphere is the best. You can enjoy the taste well.
I was shocked. I was lucky to sit down. People are always full.
Eat hot soup tofu in winterFeel delicious and enjoy
The small restaurant next to Otowa Falls, tired of shopping in Kiyomizu Temple, is a good choice for dining here, the crowd sitting indoors looking outside and praying for drinking feels unique.
MoreNormally good.Yudofu is good tooで す It's fluffy.
Lovely location, great food and incredibly friendly service :)
Local flavor
Excellent location and typical food.
Love the foods and the environment a lot!
Kiyomizu-dera Udon NoodlesLocated at the bottom of the Kiyomizu-dera Temple stage, the 滝の家, next to the "Yun Yu 泷" (Yin Yu Waterfall), offers some Kyoto-style light desserts, and you can feel the unique style of Kyoto while sitting in the outdoor cafe. Come to the soup tofu, one of the must-eat Kyoto cuisines in Kyoto. We use kumbu soup to cook together, and it is full of soy beans, with Japanese soy sauce and chopped green onion, retaining the most beautiful flavor. In summer, there will be ice products to choose from. Cool off the heat. If you come to Kiyomizu-dera Temple next time, if you are tired, you may want to sit down and have a good rest and eat our food.
MoreSoup tofu is super delicious
Came here while the weather was cold, the hot broth was a life saver.
Exquisite salt plum with good taste and arrangement. I thought the store was amazing as well.
MoreMacha soft cream!
